I received the sling today and it means so much to me, to be able to give my friend (whom i have known since kindergarten and who has been told she would never have children), this beautiful gift on the first meeting with her newborn son. I have shopped around in the baby shops and the internet for weeks researching the right sling for her, and I was disappointed with what I found in the shops. When I found your website, I was immediately taken with the beautiful fabrics and I know my friend will absolutely love it! The colours are the same as she chose for her wedding dress! My husband purchased me a Serenity pistachio and lilac sling for Mother's Day. It is the best present i have ever received! My beautiful daughter, who is now 6 months, loves her sling rides. She always falls asleep in the sling. The sling is very comfortable too. Thank you for such a great Australian made product. -Tenelle

I recently purchased a Mbeleko serenity, it is a lilac and pistachio reversible ring sling with a silver ring. My son was 12 month old when I purchased this sling. I had another sling I bought when I was pregnant and I found suitable for use when he was a newborn and younger, but unsuitable for a heavier baby/toddler, it was a padded sling (slingalong).
I needed to follow the instructions as I had never used a ring sling before, I found the instructions easy and the ring sling VERY comfortable. It fits Felix and I both very well, it has enough room to fit me (I am a size 18) and a toddler with plenty to spare. I found the adjustment easy to make too as the instructions made it clear how I should fold it so that I could adjust it to our size.
The colours are beautiful, I love the reversible nature of this sling too. A friend who has several ring sling really liked the fact that the rings are aluminum, hers are steel and she commented how this made the sling SO much lighter. The quality of the stitching is very professional too. What I like best about this sling is I can now wear Felix on my back! What I like least about this sling, that I didn't buy one when he was younger!!! -Katanya

We have found the sling very comfortable and easy to use. Our baby is only 12 days old so we haven't used it a lot but the times we have she has been very comfortable by the look of her and we like the fact we can watch her sleeping soundly. I love my sling! It is the most beautiful of my collection! Easy to use and adjust - a really comfortable shoulder. My only complaint is the double layer with the silk brocade makes it very hot to wear in summer. I almost contemplated getting a 2nd in a cooler fabric for that reason. My Mbeleko sling is the ultimate combination of utility and beauty. I can breastfeed my baby while chasing my toddler around the park, carry her wherever I go and at the same time look elegant and stylish. When my family were approached to have our photo taken for our local paper, I was so relieved that I had my Mbeleko sling with me as we ended up having to walk quite a distance to the site of the photo. Our baby was very happy and settled for the entire walk and for the actual photo shoot all thanks to his new sling which he took to straight away. Our baby spends most of the day in his Mbeleko sling, happy in a quiet state of alertness as he watches me go about my day, or sleepy contentedly. Our sling gives us freedom to go out at any time of day or night as we know that our baby will sleep happily in his sling rather than cry for his cot. It was purchased as a gift.... The shipping was excellent and the quality great... the person recieving the gift loves it. The child is comfortable and it is not the first time use of the sling. The sling site was recommended by the person receiving the gift and was unaware that it was being shipped and made in Aus. I was a little unsure when ordering if the gift would be received by Christmas however it was the first package to arrive that was ordered that day.... thank you
